👜 How to Create a Top Flap Bag in Pocket Styler Studio
What is a Top Flap Bag:
A Top Flap Bag is a design with a front flap covering the main compartment. It’s often used in casual and evening looks, fitting both minimalist and bold fashion styles. The top flap adds style and functionality to the bag.
🔹 Step 1. Preparing the Project
1. Open the project for creating the bag.
2. Set all fabric parameters and properties to 0 so the base is fully transparent.
🔹 Step 2. Creating the Bag Silhouette
1. Go to Details → Add Shape.
2. Add new shapes to form the bag’s silhouette:
First, create the front panel of the bag using Point Edit Mode, shaping it as needed.
Next, add the side panels to form the bag’s volume
Add the top flap, which will cover the main compartment.
3. Set the color and fabric for your bag.
🔹 Step 3. Adding Edge and Volume
1. Use the Edge tab to add a trim along the entire bag.
2. Use a dark and light brush to add shadows and highlights on the bottom part of the bag.
3. Repeat the same process on the side panels.
🔹 Step 4. Creating the Handle
1. Create an empty shape for the handle.
2. Draw the handle in a rounded (ball-like) form.
3. Return to the bag project and add shadows under the handle and along the sides of the flap.
4. Use a light brush to add highlights for volume.
