Evening Fez: How to Create an Elegant Headpiece in Studio
The fez is a small, cylindrical hat with a flat top, traditionally known in Middle Eastern and North African cultures. In fashion styling it can become a striking accent — especially for evening or festive outfits. Its clean silhouette and refined shape work beautifully with gowns, cocktail dresses, and dramatic styling.
Today we’ll create an elegant evening fez using light decoration, clean lines, and soft shading.
How to Create an Evening Fez in Pocket Styler Studio
1. Open the Studio
Start by creating a new headwear project.2. Choose the Base Shape

Go to the headwear section and select the second option in the third row.
Use Point Mode to shape the silhouette of your fez — smooth, tall, and slightly tapered if you prefer a more modern look.

3. Add Shading
Open the Shadows tab and choose a soft shadow to define the volume.
Adjust intensity so the hat gains depth without becoming too heavy.

4. Apply Fabric
Go to the Fabric tab and set the base color and material.

5. Create the Decorative Trim
Along the edge, add a decorative border:

Add a new shape
Use Point Mode to draw a neat outline for the trim

Set Fabric: 0 so it becomes a clean, flat contour

6. Add a Pattern
Open the Pattern tab and apply a subtle decorative design.
I’m choosing a floral pattern — elegant and perfect for evening styling.
Adjust its scale and color to match the overall palette.

7. Add a Line Accent (Optional)
Use the Line tool to create a fine decorative line along the border for a sharper, more refined look.

8. Final Shading
With dark brushes, add shadow around the base and edges.
With light brushes, add delicate highlights to enhance the volume and texture.

This gives your fez a polished look that suits any evening or special-occasion outfit.
