🎩 How to Create a Floppy Hat in Pocket Styler Studio
What is a Floppy Hat and When to Wear It:
A Floppy hat is a soft hat with drooping wavy brims, popular in women’s fashion. It’s often worn in autumn and spring, pairing perfectly with coats, trench coats, sweaters, and stylish fall looks. For an autumn version, warm materials like wool, felt, and soft tweed are ideal. In this example, I’ll be creating a burgundy felt floppy hat for fall.
🔹 Step 1. Prepare the Project
1. Open your project for creating the hat.
2. Set all fabric parameters to 0 so the base is fully transparent.
🔹 Step 2. Create the Crown
1. Go to Details → Add Shape.
2. Use Points Mode to form the crown shape.
3. Choose the fabric and set the base color (burgundy for fall).
🔹 Step 3. Create the Brim
1. Go to the brim properties and, through Details → Add Shape, form the silhouette of the brim.
2. Set the same fabric and color for the entire hat.
3. Shape the back part of the brim.
🔹 Step 4. Work with Shadows and Highlights
1. On the crown, use a dark brush to add shadows and a light brush to add highlights.
2. On the brims, use the light brush for highlights and the dark brush for shadows.
3. Repeat for the inner part of the hat.
4. Special feature of the Floppy hat — wavy brims: create a wave effect on the back part of the brim.
🔹 Step 5. Add Edge
1. Go to Edge → Add Outline to give the hat a neat finished look.

You will get a burgundy autumn Floppy hat with soft wavy crown and brims, a clean structure of shadows and highlights — perfect for fall outfits and stylish ensembles with coats or sweaters.
