👗 How to Draw Jacquard in Pocket Styler Studio
Jacquard is a fabric with a decorative pattern woven directly into the material, not printed on the surface. It always looks rich and textured — perfect for dresses, coats, and accessories.
Here’s a simple way to create a jacquard fabric effect using layers, brushes, and patterns in Studio.
🔹 Step 1. Base Color
Choose a deep, muted shade:
Dark blue
Emerald green
Burgundy
Beige
Jacquard looks best on a subdued base.

🔹 Step 2. Add a Pattern
Open Patterns → Fabric Motifs (flora, ornaments, small geometric shapes).
Jacquard works well with:
Small repeating elements
Leaves
Swirls
Medallion motifs
Tip: choose a pattern that looks raised, as if woven, not printed.
🔹 Step 3. Adjust Pattern Color
Jacquard is not high-contrast — it shines through the interplay of threads.
Set the pattern color:
One shade lighter than the base, or
One shade darker (for matte jacquard)
Avoid strong contrast — otherwise, it will look like a printed pattern rather than jacquard.

🔹 Step 4. Soft Shadows
Take a soft brush 1–2 shades darker than the base.
Lightly apply shadows to:
Sides
Folded areas
Lower zones
This creates the fabric’s depth.

🔹 Step 5. Thread Shine
With a thin light brush (1–2 px), very softly paint over:
Folds
Raised areas
Central parts of the pattern

This simulates the shimmer of interwoven threads. Be careful — too much will look like sequins.
✨ Result
The fabric looks tightly woven, elegant, and slightly shimmering — just like real jacquard.
