👗 How to Draw a Side-Slit Mini Skirt with Lacing

Step-by-step tutorial in Pocket Styler Studio

Today we’ll create a stylish mini skirt with a side slit connected by decorative lacing. This design is popular in streetwear and modern fashion — bold, trendy, and full of attitude.

🔹 Step 1. Preparing the Skirt Base

1. Open Studio and choose the skirt silhouette you need — Line 1 → Model 2.

2. Go to the Shadows tab and select a suitable base shadow.

3. Set the color and fabric for your skirt.

4. In the Patterns tab, choose any pattern you want (optional).

5. Use the Point Mode to adjust and refine the silhouette.

🔹 Step 2. Creating the Belt

1. Open Details → Add Shape.

2. Add a new shape and form the belt using Point Mode.

3. Draw shadows and highlights on the belt using dark and light brushes to give it volume.

🔹 Step 3. Forming the Side Slit

1. Use Point Mode to create a side slit on the skirt.

2. Above the slit, add a blank shape (Details → Add Shape).

🔹 Step 4. Adding the Lacing

1. Go to Decor → iItems.

2. Choose a suitable lacing element.

3. Set its color.

4. Duplicate it as many times as needed to fill the entire slit.

This creates the effect of real criss-cross lacing.

🔹 Step 5. Finishing the Hem

1. Open the Edge tab.

2. Add a neat edge along the bottom of the skirt to make the design look polished.

🔹 Step 6. Adding Shadows and Highlights

1. Use a dark brush to add shading:

• along the side folds,

• near the lacing,

• around the slit line.

2. Then use a light brush to add soft highlights where the light naturally hits the fabric.

✨ Result

You’ll get a trendy mini skirt with a stylish side-lacing detail — a modern, eye-catching piece that elevates any outfit.
