Corduroy is a textile with characteristic parallel ridges that create a textured surface. It originated in the 19th century and has traditionally been used for clothing, coats, trousers, and accessories.

In Pocket Styler Studio, you can create a corduroy effect from scratch, fully controlling the color, stripes, and volume.
🔹 Step 1. Prepare the project
1. Open the project where you want to create the corduroy effect (e.g., jacket, trousers, or skirt).
2. Choose a base fabric color — for example, blue.

3. Set a suitable fabric: go to the “Synthetic” subsection and select a texture suitable for corduroy.

🔹 Step 2. Create the base pattern
1. Go to the “Pattern” tab.
2. Choose a pattern that imitates parallel stripes, as shown in the example.

🔹 Step 3. Adjust the stripes
1. Use the “Transform” tool to slightly narrow the pattern.
2. Achieve the desired effect of parallel ridges creating the characteristic corduroy texture.
🔹 Step 4. Add volume with light and shadow
1. Use a light brush to highlight the top of the ridges for a realistic highlight effect.
2. Use a dark brush along the bottom of the ridges to enhance depth.
3. Alternate light and dark areas along the stripes for a more realistic texture.
