🎩 How to Create a Perforated Brim on a Hat in Pocket Styler Studio

Decorative holes on a hat brim are a stylish element that adds lightness, texture, and uniqueness to any look. They are commonly used in:

summer or themed hats,

retro and vintage styles,

decorative accessories for shows or photoshoots.

🔹 Step 1. Prepare the Hat Shape

1. Open your hat project.

2. Choose the desired crown shape.


3. Select the hat brim and reset all values.


4. Go to Details, add a shape, and use the point mode to adjust it to your brim design.


🔹 Step 2. Color and Shadows

1. Choose your hat color (e.g., green).

2. On the Fabric tab, reset all parameters.


3. Use a brush to manually fill the entire brim with color.


4. Use a dark brush for shadows and a light brush for highlights to create volume and a realistic fabric effect.


🔹 Step 3. Add the Edge

1. Go to the Edge tab and add a decorative ribbon along the brim edge.


2. Add volume to the crown using light and dark brushes.


3. Adding a Band to the Crown

1. Go to the Details tab and add a new shape.

2. Use this shape to form a band on the crown of the hat.

3. Set the color of the band.

4. Use light and dark brushes to add highlights and shadows, creating volume.

5. If needed, add a shadow under the band for a more realistic effecteffec

4. Repeat for the inner part of the brim (back side of the hat).


🔹 Step 4. Create Decorative Cutouts

1. Select the layer of the front brim that you painted.

2. Go to the Eraser Tool tab.

3. Choose the cutout shape (e.g., diamonds) and trace along the front and back edges of the brim to create neat decorative holes.

You now have a hat with decorative cutouts on the brim, adding a stylish accent and uniqueness to your accessory.
