🎩 Hamburg Hat: Classic, Elegant & Refined

The Hamburg hat is a variation of the classic fedora with a firmer crown and slightly curved, downward-turned brim.

It looks polished and structured: smooth curves, clean geometry, and a wide ribbon make it a perfect accessory for both everyday and themed looks.

Most common fabrics used:

soft felt, wool, or velvety textures;

dense, smooth materials with minimal texture;

traditional colors include black, navy, graphite, brown, though any shade works for creative styling.

🎨 Creating a Hamburg Hat in Pocket Styler Studio

🔹 Step 1. Choose the Base

1. Open the hat creation project.

2. Select the crown and brim shape that resembles the Hamburg style.

🔹 Step 2. Shape the Silhouette

1. Switch to Point Mode.

2. Carefully shape the crown and brim:

— the crown is clean and structured;

— the brim is slightly lowered and gently curved.

🔹 Step 3. Fabric & Color

1. Set the texture — usually felt or a smooth material.

2. Choose the base color of your hat (dark shades are classic).

🔹 Step 4. Add the Decorative Ribbon

1. Go to the Details tab and add a new shape.

2. In Point Mode, form a ribbon around the crown.

3. Set the ribbon color — either contrasting or matching.

4. Use a dark brush to add shadows along the lower edge.

5. Use a light brush to add highlights on top for volume.

🔹 Step 5. Shadows & Highlights on the Hat

1. Return to the main hat layer.

2. Use a dark brush along the sides of the crown to add depth.

3. Add soft highlights in the center with a light brush.

4. Apply the same technique to the brim:

— shadows along the edges;

— lighter tones closer to the center.

✨ The result is a stylish, realistic Hamburg hat with proper volume, a clean ribbon, and a refined silhouette — a perfect accessory for any outfit!
