Classic Shirt Collar: What It Is and Where to Use It

The classic shirt collar is a versatile element often used in business, casual, and even formal styles. It works well for shirts, blouses, and light jackets. In Pocket Styler, you can create it from scratch, shape it as desired, and add volume for a realistic look.

🔹 Step 1. Prepare the Project

1. Open your project with the top garment.

2. Go to the Details tab and select the most suitable shapes for the right and left sides of the collar.

🔹 Step 2. Form the Collar

1. Switch to Point Mode and shape the collar according to your design.

2. On the layer with the main top, hide areas that overlap with the collar so it displays correctly.

3. Adjust the collar shape with points to ensure clean edges.

🔹 Step 3. Color and Edge

1. Set the main color for the collar.

2. Use the Edge tab to change the style and color of the collar’s edge if needed.

🔹 Step 4. Add Volume

1. First, take a dark brush and carefully go along the edges and sides of the collar to create natural shadows and depth.

2. Then, switch to a light brush and gently apply it to the top and raised areas of the collar to highlight them.

3. This combination of dark and light strokes adds volume and makes the collar look more realistic on the garment.

4. Finally, return to the main top layer and refine the junction between the collar and the garment.

✨ Result:

You’ll have a neat, realistic classic shirt collar with volume, highlights, and shadows that enhance the overall style of your garment.
