Lifehack for Working with Outerwear
“How to Neatly Cover the Back Part of Outerwear in Pocket Styler”
Nowadays, designers often create outerwear — jackets, blazers, coats, fur coats — so that it drapes over one shoulder or sits on the shoulders without putting the arms through the sleeves.
I have a jacket project. I switch to the point mode and move one side over the shoulder. What do we see? A gap appears at the back of the model.

We hide the model view. We can see that the back part doesn’t cover the full size of the project. In point mode, we adjust the back part where the gap needs to be filled and set its color.

When switching to the demo window, the gap still appears, even though we just adjusted the back.

This is a small nuance when working with outerwear if you move the right or left side of the top too far. But it’s easy to fix if you know how.
🔹 Step 1. Select the Area
1. Go to the desired part of the jacket (left or right).
🔹 Step 2. Create a Shape to Cover the Gap
1. In the Details tab, create a new shape to cover the empty area.

2. Adjust the shape using point mode.

3. Set the color and fabric to match the back of the jacket.

🔹 Step 3. Check
1. Go to the demo window and see that everything looks perfect.

Result:
The jacket looks realistic and neat on the model.
