Corset Top — Creating a Fitted Top with Lacing ✨

(How to achieve a corset effect in Pocket Styler Studio)
A corset top is a fitted upper garment that accentuates the waist and often features decorative lacing or cut-outs. Today, we’ll show you how to create this top from scratch.
🔹 Step 1. Base Top
Open your project with the intended top.
Switch to Point Mode and shape the overall top, removing the straps.
🔹 Step 2. Cut and Division
Use Point Mode to create a cut between the first and second sections of the top.
Fill the middle section with black to visually separate the parts.
🔹 Step 3. Pattern and Texture
Go to the Pattern tab.
Choose a pattern you like and use the Transform tool to resize and place it as desired.
🔹 Step 4. Shadows and Highlights
Use a dark brush to draw shadows under the bust and along the sides for depth.
Add highlights with a light brush to create a realistic fabric effect.
🔹 Step 5. Edge Detailing
Switch to the Edge tab.
Use Point Mode to add edges along the top, ensuring clean, precise lines.
🔹 Step 6. Lacing
Go to the Details tab → select an empty form.
Open Decor → Items and choose a lacing style suitable for your corset.
Use Transform to adjust size, color, and position the lacing across the top.
🔹 Step 7. Lacing Bow
Add a bow below the lacing via the Items tab to complete the corset look.
🔹 Step 8. Lacing Shadows
On the corset layer, use a dark brush to add shadows to the lacing, creating the illusion that it lies on the top rather than floating above it.
✨ Result:
You now have a fitted corset top with a cut, decorative lacing, and clean edges. Shadows and highlights give the lacing realistic depth and volume.
