✨ Mermaid Skirt with Wavy Hem ✨
(Fitted at the top, flaring from the knee)
This skirt hugs the figure at the top and flares out from the knee with an added layer, creating beautiful waves or a semi-circle effect. It’s perfect for elegant and evening looks, as well as casual outfits if you choose a soft fabric.
🔹 Step 1. Base Creation
Open Pocket Styler Studio and create a new skirt project.

Select the top part (waist) on the first tab: you can choose any fit; I’m using a high waist.

On the “Bottom” tab, select the lower part of the skirt — for wavy effects, the last option is easiest.

🔹 Step 2. Shaping the Skirt
Switch to Point Mode and adjust the skirt’s shape to your liking.

Set the shadow property to 0.
🔹 Step 3. Color and Texture
Choose the color and fabric for your skirt.

Go to the Pattern tab → select a print → adjust its size and direction with the Transform tool.
Copy the pattern to the second layer of the skirt.

🔹 Step 4. Creating Waves at Layer Join
In Point Mode, create curves where the top and bottom layers meet so the line looks wavy instead of straight.
On the bottom layer, use a dark brush to add shadows along the waves.
Add light areas on the top part for volume.

🔹 Step 5. Adding Volume with Distortion
Go to the Distortion property and use the brush to add volume to the fabric, creating natural folds and bumps.

🔹 Step 6. Contour and Details
Add a hem contour on the bottom layer.
On the top layer, use the Details tab to add a waistband.
On the main skirt layer, add shadows under the waistband to enhance depth.

✨ Result:
You’ll have a fitted skirt with a wavy hem, realistic fabric folds, and shadows, giving your skirt a lively, three-dimensional look.
