How to Create a Classic Knitted Beanie
A beanie is a simple and versatile hat. It fits snugly on the head without brims, ties, or complex decorations. This accessory is worn by both men and women and works for everyday or sporty looks. Today, we’ll create a basic knit beanie in Studio.
🔹 Step 1. Base
Open your project through the Hats tab.
Choose the crown shape that best fits your design idea.
🔹 Step 2. Shape
Switch to Points mode and adjust the hat’s shape to match your vision.
🔹 Step 3. Fabric
Go to the Fabric tab → open the Wool submenu.
Select the texture you like and set the appropriate color.
🔹 Step 4. Shadows
Go to the Shadows tab and choose the third option in the first row.
🔹 Step 5. Volume
Open the Distortion property and use a brush to add volume to the fabric:
stretch some areas,
compress others,
creating the knitted texture effect.
🔹 Step 6. Light and Shadow
Use brushes to add light and dark zones. This will make the beanie look more realistic and “alive.”
