Furry Trim

(Fluffy edge effect for skirts or pants)

Today I’ll show how to create a “furry patch” effect along the edge of clothing. This can be applied to the hem of a skirt, pants, or even a hood.

🔹 Step 1. New Layer

Open your project with a skirt (or any other garment).

Add an empty shape via the Details tab.

🔹 Step 2. Base Fur

Go to the Brush tab.

Choose a brush resembling a snowflake or “hedgehog” (with sharp, spiky tips).

Set the size so the line looks like a fluffy edge.

Draw along the bottom of the skirt to create the furry trim.

🔹 Step 3. Color Depth

Adjust the brush properties: Lower the opacity.

Use a dark color to paint the bottom edge.

Then repeat with a light color on top. This creates volume.

🔹 Step 4. Hair Effect

Create a new brush layer.

Select the “Stroke” type and set the parameter to 1.

With a light color, draw individual strokes to mimic fur hairs.

✨ Result:

The edge of the garment now has a fluffy fur trim. This technique can be easily adapted for various garments — from skirts to hoods.
