Creating a Hair Scarf in Studio ✨

(Step-by-step guide to designing a head scarf) 🧵

A hair scarf is a lightweight fabric accessory that ties around the head. In Studio, it can be created as a separate project with its own shape, color, and pattern.

🔹 Step 1. Open a project

Create a new project for the hair scarf. Choose the most suitable option from the available templates.

🔹 Step 2. Shape the scarf

Switch to Point Mode and define the shape of your scarf.

🔹 Step 3. Create the tails

Add 2 more shapes on the layer via the Details tab to form the “tails” of the scarf at the bottom (2 pieces).

🔹 Step 4. Color, fabric, and pattern

Select the appropriate color, fabric, and pattern for your scarf.

🔹 Step 5. Shadows and highlights

Use two brushes to create volume: one dark brush for shadows, one light brush for highlights.

🔹 Step 6. Add dimension

🔹 Step 6. Volume Effect

Go to the Distortion tab. Use it to adjust the shape and curvature of the fabric so the headscarf looks more natural and voluminous. Gentle bends will create the effect of softly draped fabric and add realism.

🔹 Step 7. Finish the tails

Paint and add shadows to the tails to make them look natural and consistent with the main scarf.

✨ Result:

A neat, voluminous hair scarf with realistic shadows and highlights, created as a standalone project or ready to complement other elements.
