How to Create a Patch Pocket on Jeans 👖
Here’s a guide to making a patch pocket using built-in shapes and hand-painted details.
1️⃣ Open the main jeans layer where the pocket will be placed.
2️⃣ Go to the “Details” tab and select a ready-made patch pocket shape offered by the program.
3️⃣ Move the pocket into position and switch to point mode to adjust its shape to your design.
4️⃣ Copy the fabric color from the jeans and apply it to the pocket for a seamless look.
5️⃣ In the “Edge” tab, set the edge color to define the pocket neatly.
6️⃣ Create three brush layers:
one for darker shadows,
one for softer highlights,
one for subtle wear-and-tear effect.
7️⃣ Return to the main jeans layer and paint a shadow beneath the pocket, making it look like a sewn-on detail.
