✨ Two Ways to Create Shadows in Pocket Styler Studio ✨
(On a Hat Example) 🧵
Want to add depth and realism to your hat? In Pocket Styler Studio, there are two main ways to create shadows: using the built-in Shadows tab or by manually painting with brushes. Here’s how I do it on a hat.
🔹 Method 1: Built-in Shadows
- Go to the Shadows tab and select a shadow from the Studio library.

- Enable edit mode and slightly adjust the shadow shape.

- Optionally, add highlights using the Highlights property and choose the desired color.

💡 This method is perfect for beginners and those just starting to work with shadows. It’s quick and simple, allowing you to immediately add depth and make the hat look more expressive.
🔹 Method 2: Manual Brush Shadows
- Remove all built-in shadows from the project.
- Create a new brush layer and paint the dark areas where shadows naturally fall.

- Create a second brush layer for the lighter areas.
- Optionally, return to the Shadows tab to add extra shadows for more depth.

💡 This method is ideal for those seeking a more advanced, realistic, and lively effect. Painting with brushes gives full control over shapes, transitions, and lighting.
✨ Tip: Combining both methods allows you to create the most expressive shadows, especially on complex shapes like hats, bags, or sleeves.
