Adding a Fly on Pants✨
I’ll show you how to create a neat fly or decorative placket on jeans, shorts 🧵
🔹 Step 1. Open your project
Launch Studio and go to the layer of the garment where you want to add the fly (jeans, shorts).
🔹 Step 2. Add the shape
1. Go to the Details tab.
2. Select a shape with custom edges that will serve as the base for the fly.
3. Add the shape to the chosen layer.
🔹 Step 3. Adjust the shape
1. Switch to Point Edit mode and modify the shape so it looks like the desired fly.
2. Set the color and fabric: you can choose the same material as the main garment or a contrasting one.
3. Make the outline slightly darker to highlight the shape.
🔹 Step 4. Add edges and shadows
1. Go to the Edge tab and select the desired edge style, color, and thickness.
2. Add shadows: under the fly and on its surface to create depth and realism.
✨ Tip:
For a more natural look, slightly adjust color and shadow opacity so the fly blends into the fabric and doesn’t look drawn on.
