✨ Gold Thread Effect
Want to add a touch of elegance and luxury to your design? ✨ Try simulating gold embroidery — perfect for traditional patterns, royal accents, or festive outfits. Here’s how I do it in Pocket Styler Studio 👇
🧵 Step-by-Step Instructions:
1️⃣ Choose the right layer
I usually draw embroidery on the top layer of a sleeve, bodice, or collar. You can also create a separate detail for easy movement or reuse later.
2️⃣ Set up the brush (Layer → Brush)
Color: rich gold (#D4AF37 or similar)
Flow: 100
Hardness: around 50
Opacity: 100
Size: very small for stitch simulation (1–4)
3️⃣ Draw the thread texture
Make short, dense strokes or dots, slightly bending lines to follow the shape of the fabric.
4️⃣ Add glow (optional)
Create a second brush layer:
Color: soft yellow-white
Flow: 100
Hardness: 0–30
Opacity: 20–30
Draw a subtle glow over or around the threads to enhance the shine effect.
5️⃣ Add a pattern (optional)
For richer texture, you can overlay a thin metallic pattern (glitter, dots, mesh) carefully over the embroidery.
6️⃣ Use symmetry
If the embroidery is mirrored, symmetry saves time and keeps the design neat.
🌟 Style tip:
Gold embroidery looks especially stunning on dark velvet, rich blue, classic red, or white silk. Try this effect on festive dresses, jackets, ethnic details, or accessories.
