🧵 Visible Lining for a Wavy Skirt
I love adding small details that make my designs look more realistic — one of my favorites is a visible lining on a wavy skirt.
Here’s how I do it in Studio:
1️⃣ I go to the bottom back layer — it’s behind the main skirt.
2️⃣ In the Details tab, I add a new detail.
3️⃣ Using points, I shape it along the lower edge of the skirt where the fabric curves like a wave.
4️⃣ I give this detail a different fabric and color — that’s the lining.
5️⃣ Add shadows and highlights
To make the effect more dimensional and lively, I add subtle shadows where the lining meets the main fabric and soft highlights on raised areas. This adds depth and emphasizes fabric movement.
✨ Now my skirt looks like it’s in motion, with the inside fabric peeking through — just like in real life!
