📌 Two Ways to Fix It — and When to Use Each One
Every designer has been there: you finish a design, check it in Studio — everything looks perfect. You upload it to the game, publish it in the store… and suddenly you spot a flaw.
What now? Delete it? Redo everything? Reupload?
Actually, there are two ways to fix it, and the choice depends on the situation:
🔁 Option 1: Duplicate the Project and Upload as a New Item
📌 When to use this: — You spotted the issue right after publishing
— No one has bought the item yet
— Or you want a quicker solution
📍 Why this works well:
Once a design is published in the game and store, it may look slightly different — especially small details. Sometimes flaws become visible only in the published version, not in the Studio preview.
If you noticed a defect early and no one has bought the item yet, just:
1. Delete the item from the game and store (optional if it doesn’t bother you)
2. Open Studio and press Duplicate
3. Fix the issue in the duplicated version
4. Upload it as a new item to the game and store
This way, you create an updated version without the flaw. The original stays as-is, and the new version can replace it in your wardrobe or shop.
🔄 Option 2: Update the Already Published Item
📌 When to use this: — The item has already been purchased at least once
— You want all buyers to receive the updated version
— You’re okay waiting ~24 hours
📍 How to do it:
1. Remove the item from the story
2. Remove it from the game
3. Open the same project in Studio (do not duplicate!)
4. Fix the defect
5. Upload it again to the game and store
📌 Within 24 hours, the updated version will automatically replace the original for everyone who already bought it.
This method is the most respectful toward your buyers. I always choose it — even if only one person bought the item. I want everyone to have a flawless version.
