Manual Symmetry in Studio Design
Symmetry is a powerful tool in design. It creates harmony, balance, and a professional look — whether you’re working with accessories, patterns, or clothing details.
While Pocket Styler Studio doesn’t offer a built-in symmetry function, you can still create mirror designs manually. Here’s how 👇
🖌 How to Create Symmetry Using Brushes (Step by Step)
1. Choose the Item
Start with the clothing piece or accessory you want to design symmetrically — for example, tights, sleeves, hats, or skirts.
2. Add a Thin Center Guide (Optional)
Select the “Model” layer and enable the thin vertical guide line. It helps you align both sides evenl
3. Draw One Side Only
Pick a brush and paint just one side of the item (left or right). Stay close to the center line for easier alignment later.
4. Finish the First Half
Once the first half is done — stop there. Don’t try to draw the second side manually!
5. Copy the Brush
Tap the three dots on the brush you just created and choose Copy. This will duplicate your brush. Now you’ll work with the copy.
6. Reflect and Align It
Open the copied brush in Transform mode. Use the yellow icons to flip it horizontally (mirror it). Then drag it to the opposite side and align it with the center.
🎨 Tips for Cleaner Symmetry
- Zoom in for precise alignment
- For detailed designs (like embroidery or lace), keep spacing even
💡 Why Symmetry Matters
Symmetry makes your design balanced and complete. It’s especially useful for:
- Ethnic or folk patterns (like embroidery or ornaments)
- Geometric designs
- Paired accessories
If you’re new to Studio, manual symmetry might feel tricky at first —
but once you master it, you’ll gain next-level control 🎯
