To add a “trim” to an item, using shapes will allow you to have more control over the coloring, shadowing, glare and patterns. Shapes are also an easy ways to create multicolor items without sacrificing the original design.
– Once your item is complete, navigate to the layer you want to add a trim. For this shirt, I selected “torso”.
– Click on the left hand side and add the shape of your choice. From there, shape the item to your design.
– Adjust the colors to your liking. If you want to add a pattern, you can do so since shapes will show any details added.
– Be mindful of the order of “layers” when using multiple shapes.
