For this post, I’ll show you how I like to do a “scrunch” type of sleeve detail.
1. When shaping the initial sleeve, you’ll need to add points to create the desired shape. I like to use “small point” for better control and viewing.
2. Once shaped, adjust the texture and fabric color.
3. To create the scrunch effect, navigate to the “folds” tab under “decor”.
4. Select the fold of your liking and adjust the sizing. Place it on the area you plan to add the detail to. Do the same for each fold.
5. Once satisfied, create a new brush on the right hand side.
6. On your new brush, adjust the sizing, opacity, flow and color. The color I like to use is a few shades darker than the fabric, but not as dark as the shadow.
I like to use this brush and play around with the settings.
7. Use this brush on top of and around the previously placed folds to add realism.
