🛠 Duplicating a Project in Studio: A Powerful Tool for Changing Shapes and Creating New Designs!

Sure, duplicating a project is great for quickly switching colors or fabrics.

But the real magic is using duplication as a starting point for creating items with different shapes — especially when you’ve already crafted a base you love.

How to duplicate a project:

1. Go to My Projects

2. Find the design you want to copy

3. Tap the three dots next to it

4. Select Duplicate

5. Studio will create an exact copy — ready to be edited without touching the original

✨ What you can do with a duplicate:

🔁 Change only the color (perfect for series like tights in different shades)

🆕 Adjust the height, shape, or silhouette (e.g., turn a short skirt into a long one)

🎨 Add new patterns or textures

🖌 Use the brush to enhance edges with shadows, highlights, or volume

🧦 Example: Tights

In one project, you created classic opaque thigh-high tights — with a perfect shape and fit.

Later, you want something new — like lace tights with a higher top line.

Instead of starting from scratch:

1. Duplicate the old project

2. Change the fabric color

3. Add a pattern and soft shading along the edges

4. Optionally, add a Holes element at the top to emphasize the cut or decorative detail

The result: a completely new pair of tights — built faster and with a perfect fit thanks to your previous work.

🧩 More examples where duplication helps reshape your design:

👗 You made a sheath dress → duplicate it → turn it into an evening gown with a voluminous skirt

👕 You made a sleeveless top → duplicate → add sleeves, widen the shoulders, add cuffs

🧥 You designed a mid-length coat → duplicate → extend the bottom layer to create a long coat or a cape

💡 Tip:

Duplication isn’t about “lazy copying” — it’s about smart reuse of your own assets.

It helps you work faster, more accurately, and gives you space to explore new ideas.
