I’ve wanted to make lacy items in this game forever, however it’s not intuitive to do so and the patterns are limited when it comes to lace.
I decided to draw my own! It actually wasn’t very difficult. I do have a touch-screen laptop with a stylus pen to make it easier.
I am going to add a lacy edge to this tank top.
To start, I am going to add a transparent square shape detail to draw in. I want to make the square large enough for the area I want lace.
Next, I wanted to find an lace inspiration photo to go off of while I draw. I use either google or pinterest to find images. I want to choose something simple because the brush in pocket styler studio cannot be as fine tip as I would like it to be to do smaller details.
I found this image on pinterest that I will model after:
In your box, right click brush and select new. I like to bring my brush 1 all the way to the top, above glare/shadow, etc. I like to make a new brush for each section or new detail so that it makes it easier for me to modify later if I don’t like something.
I make my brush black, and put the size to 1. Then I start drawing!
It’s definitely imperfect, especially up close
But I use the “animation preview” button a lot to see how it will look in game, and the distance hides many imperfections:
This is also how I created these lacy shoes, which I put a little more time and effort into. Eventually, I’d love to try to do a whole lacy gown – have you ever tried hand drawing in pocket styler studio?
