🎨 When Colors Clash: Fix It Fast
Sometimes even beautiful colors don’t work well together — the outfit may look aggressive or unbalanced. Here’s how to fix it:
🔍 1. Identify the reason
Common problems:
Colors are too bright and high-contrast
The shades are different temperatures (warm + cool) without balance
Too many saturated colors with no neutrals
🎯 2. Add a neutral
Neutral colors (white, grey, beige) help “separate” clashing tones.
Example:
If fuchsia and lime green look too harsh — add light grey or cream between them.
🎨 3. Tone one color down
Lower its saturation (make it more pastel)
Use it only in small accents
Make it more transparent
This reduces the visual noise.
🔁 4. Try a new combo
Still doesn’t work? Replace one color.
Use a color wheel:
Try analogous colors
Or go for a complementary one in a softer shade
💡 Tip: Zoom out and view your design from a distance. If it feels harsh — simplify the palette and reduce contrast.
