Step 1: Select Your Base Template
Open the Studio: Access the Pocket Styler Studio on your desktop.
Choose a Top: Select a template from the Tops category. A simple silhouette, like a tank top or short-sleeve tee, is best for showcasing a complex sequin texture.
Set the Base Fabric: Choose the Sequin fabric type from the fabric menu.
Foundation Color: Pick a base color for your sequins. Using a darker hue initially can help the subsequent sparkle layers stand out.
Step 2: Build Depth with the Sequin Brush
The default sequin fabric can look flat. You must manually add layers to create dimension.
Create New Brushes: Right-click on the brush icon and select “New Brush” three times to create three separate effect layers.
Brush 1 (Contrast):
Select a color darker than your base.
Choose the sequin brush preset (size 4 is ideal for tops).
Increase the scatter setting and paint non-uniformly across the garment to create “depth” between sequins.
Brush 2 (Mid-tone):
Choose a mid-range color slightly lighter than your original base.
Use the same scatter technique to fill in gaps, ensuring the texture isn’t too clustered.
Step 3: Adding the Sparkle Effect
This is the most critical step for making the sequins “shine” in the game.
Brush 3 (Bright Highlights):
Set the color to pure white
Use the sequin brush again and scatter loosely to simulate light hitting individual sequins.
Brush 4 (The Glint):
Select the star/sparkle brush preset.
Set the size to 5 and push both scatter and spacing close to 100.
Apply these sparingly to areas where light naturally hits, such as the shoulders and chest.
Step 4: Realistic Shading and Folds
Without shading, your sequin top will look like a flat sticker.
Custom Shadows: Create a new brush layer and move it to the top. Reduce its opacity to roughly 30%.
Define Curves: Use a fuzzy brush with a dark, dynamic color (try a deep purple or navy instead of flat black for more vibrancy) to trace natural folds and the waistline.
Clean Up: Use a soft eraser (20-30% opacity) to blend any harsh edges or overly bright clusters of sparkles.
Step 5: Final Review and Publish
Check 100% View: Always zoom out to the standard game view. If the sequins look like “noise” or random dots, increase the size of your sequin brush.
Name and Publish: Give your creation a name and click Publish. Your sequin top will now be available in the game’s designer shop!.
