🧶 How to Add a Pocket to a Knit Sweater in Studio

Want to create a pocket on a sweater that looks like part of the knit? In this tutorial, I’ll show how to make a neat, volumetric pocket using the same fabric properties and color as your sweater.

🔹 Step 1. Project Preparation

1. Open your sweater project.

2. Go to the Details tab and choose a pocket shape from the available options.

3. Enable the grid on your project for more precise placement of the pockets.

🔹 Step 2. Creating the Pocket Silhouette

1. Use Point Edit Mode to shape the pocket as needed.

2. Copy the color and fabric from the main sweater layer. You can make the pocket slightly lighter so it stands out but still matches the base.

🔹 Step 3. Adding Volume and Highlights

1. Use a dark brush to add depth and volume to the pocket.

2. Use a light brush to add highlights for a realistic light effect.

🔹 Step 4. Adding Shadow Under the Pocket

Return to the sweater layer and use a dark brush to create a shadow beneath the pocket. This makes it look attached and gives it a natural, three-dimensional appearance.

✨ Result:

A neat knit pocket fully integrated into the sweater, with volume and light accents — perfect for any outfit.
