👜 How to Create a Matte Metal Handle for a Bag in Pocket Styler Studio
A metal handle can be shiny or matte — the principles are the same, only the shades differ. In this example, I will make a matte handle, but using the same technique you can create a glossy one as well.
🔹 Step 1. Prepare the Base
1. Open the project where the handle will be created.

2. On the handle layer, set Fabric = 0 to make the base completely transparent.

3. Go to the Details tab and add an empty shape in the place where the handle should be.

🔹 Step 2. Shape the Silhouette
1. Go to the Line tab.
2. Outline and create the silhouette of the future handle using the line tool.
3. Set the base color — I choose gray because the handle will be matte metal.

🔹 Step 3. Add Soft Central Shading
1. Take a soft brush.
2. Paint the central part of the handle — this creates smooth volume.

Note: In the game, the handle is visible both from the outside and inside, so central shading helps emphasize the form from both sides.
🔹 Step 4. Add Deep Shadows
1. Take a dark brush.
2. Paint along the edges of the handle — left and right, as shown in my example:
— along one side,
— along the other side.

These shadows form depth and separate the outer and inner edges of the handle.
🔹 Step 5. Add Highlights
1. Take a white brush.
2. Carefully add highlights in areas where the light hits — as shown in my example.

White highlights are essential for matte metal: they give the surface volume without making it reflective.

✨ Result:
You will get a neat matte metal handle with soft volume, light, shadow, and correct geometry — perfect for bags of any style.
