🎩 How to Create a Fedora Hat in Pocket Styler Studio
A Fedora is a classic hat for both men and women, featuring a soft crown and medium-wide brim. It’s often worn with suits, coats, or polished city and evening looks.
Today, I’ll show you how to create a brown Fedora with a shaped crown, neat brim, and a dimensional hatband.
🔹 Step 1. Choose the Base
1. Select the crown and brim from the available presets.

2. Switch to Point Mode and shape the silhouette: form the clean crown with its signature dents and smooth medium brims.

🔹 Step 2. Choose Fabric and Color
1. Go to the Fabric tab.
2. Choose a suitable fabric — I’m using brown cotton.
3. Set the base color for the entire hat.

🔹 Step 3. Create the Hatband
1. Go to Details → Add Shape to add a new shape.
2. Use Point Mode to form the hatband.
3. With a dark brush, shade the sides and the areas where the band folds or slightly overlaps to create depth.
4. With a light brush, highlight the upper and raised parts so the band looks dimensional.

🔹 Step 4. Shading the Crown
1. Use a dark brush to add shadows:
along the sides of the crown,
in the characteristic top crease,
along the side dents,
and around the curves close to the hatband.

2. Use a light brush to add highlights:
on the upper rounded part of the crown,
on the gentle curves,
and on the front and side planes where the light hits.

🔹 Step 5. Shading the Brim
1. Use a dark brush on the inner part of the brim and along the edges to create depth.
2. Use a light brush on the top of the brim and along the outer edges to make the brim look natural and volumetric.
