Leather Effect in Pocket Styler Studio
Creating realistic leather and tips for working with texture
🔹 Open the Project
1. Open the project where you want to apply the leather effect.
2. Go to Fabric → Leather.
3. Choose the first or second leather pattern.
4. Set the color.
5. Important: set opacity almost to maximum (90–100%) to preserve the leather texture.

🔹 Take the Transform Mode
1. Turn on Fabric Transform Mode.
2. Stretch the texture to make the effect more pronounced and precise.
3. Slight adjustments in different directions help create a natural leather look.

🔹 Add Shadows and Highlights
When working with leather, there’s a nuance: shadows and highlights are best painted “under the fabric layer” so you don’t cover or lose the leather texture.
For example, in my project with a pocket:
Dark brush under the fabric layer → shadow appears under the pocket, leather texture is preserved.

Light brush under the fabric layer → creates a neat highlight, texture stays intact.

If the brush is used above the fabric, the effect can cover the leather texture — the structure may get painted over.

💡 Usage Tips:
Use dark and light brushes under the layer to create natural shadows and highlights.
Use brushes above the layer only if you want to cover or add a bright decorative effect.
Playing with brush opacity helps achieve depth and realistic volume while keeping the leather texture intact.
✨ Result
You’ll get natural, voluminous leather with clear texture and subtle shadows and highlights — perfect for pockets, bags, jackets, or shoes.
