✨ How to Add a Peplum to a Skirt in Pocket Styler Studio ✨
(Effect of ruffles and added volume at the waist)
A peplum is a short flounce or ruffle attached at the waist of a skirt or dress. It creates visual volume and adds a feminine touch to the outfit. Peplums are often paired with straight or fitted skirts, as well as high-waisted pants. They look great with blouses, tops, and jackets.
🔹 Step 1. Preparation
1. Open the project with the finished skirt where you want to add the peplum.

2. Go to the Details tab and select a freeform shape to create the peplum.

3. Move the shape under the waistband of the skirt.
🔹 Step 2. Shaping the Peplum
1. Switch to Points Mode and shape the peplum as desired.

2. Set the color to match or complement your skirt.
🔹 Step 3. Working with Shadows
1. Set shadow properties to 0 for better control.
2. Use a dark brush to draw lines where the folds will form.

3. Repeat with the dark brush to enhance the volume effect.

4. Use a light brush on areas where light would naturally hit.

🔹 Step 4. Edge and Back Side
1. Go to the Edge tab and add a trim at the bottom of the peplum, choosing the color and style.

2. To make the back of the peplum visible, switch to the back layer of the skirt.

3. Add a shape via the Details tab and use Points Mode to shape the back, applying the same color as the front.

✨ Result:
You will get a skirt with a neat peplum that adds volume at the waist, with well-defined folds, shadows, and edging. The peplum gives the outfit a feminine and polished look.
