✨ Creating a Godet Skirt in Pocket Styler Studio ✨
(Effect of a voluminous skirt with panels and folds)
A godet skirt is a skirt with inserted panels that flare beautifully towards the hem. This style adds volume and movement to the fabric, and looks especially good with bold prints or textured fabrics.
🔹 Step 1. Preparing the Silhouette
1. Open your skirt project.

2. Switch to Point Mode and create the desired skirt silhouette.

3. Later, you can adjust the silhouette for a more precise shape.
🔹 Step 2. Creating the Waistband and Fabric
1. Go to the Details tab and add a waistband shape (I’m using a simple one).

2. Set the skirt’s color in the Fabric tab and choose the material.

3. In the Print tab, select a suitable pattern — I’m using a square and slightly transform it for proper placement.
🔹 Step 3. Dividing the Skirt into Panels
1. Since the skirt consists of separate panels, create dividing lines.
2. Go to the Line tab and draw lines where the panels will be.

🔹 Step 4. Creating Shadows
1. Go to the Shadow properties.
2. First, use the eraser to remove the central shadows so you can draw them manually later.

3. Use a dark brush to paint shadows in the folds.

4. With a separate dark brush, trace the lines where the panels will be to enhance the volume.

5. Next, take a light brush and add highlights over the folds and panels — this will give the fabric natural volume and life.
🔹 Step 5. Adding Volume with Distortion
1. Go to the Distortion property.
2. Using a brush, slightly distort the pattern to add volume to the folds and panels.

🔹 Step 6. Decoration and Fold Details
1. Go to the Decor / Folds tab and select shadows to create folds.
2. Add shadows where needed: on the top and sides.

✨ Result:
You will get a godet skirt with clearly defined panels, expressive folds, and natural light and shadow transitions. This technique combines shadows, highlights, and distortion to create a lively and voluminous effect.
