🔹 What is a cowboy hat?
A cowboy hat is an iconic accessory originating in the USA, associated with cowboy culture. It features a tall crown and wide brim that protects from the sun and creates a distinctive style. This headwear is often used in country and western-inspired outfits.
🔹 Step 1. Choosing the hat shape
1. Open your hat project.
2. For the top part of the hat, select the 3rd option in the 2nd row.
3. For the brim, select the 1st option in the 3rd row.
4. Enable Point Mode and adjust the top and brim to the desired shape.
🔹 Step 2. Setting fabric and color
1. Go to the Fabric tab and choose the color and material for the hat.
2. Apply the same color and fabric to the brim and inner crown.
3. Set all shadow properties to 0 so you can create shadows manually.
🔹 Step 3. Creating the hatband
1. Go to the Details tab and add a shape for the hatband on the crown.
2. Use Point Mode to shape it as desired.
3. Set the color of the band — black or any color you like.
🔹 Step 4. Light and volume
First, the brim:
1. Take a light, dense brush (e.g., size 3) and draw along the inner edge of the hat to create a contour effect.
2. Use a dark brush on shadowed areas: top of the brim and inner part near the head.
3. Use a light brush on the highlights of the brim.
Next, the crown:
4. Alternate between light and dark brushes along the crown to create a 3D volume effect.
🔹 Step 5. Decoration
1. Go to the Decor tab.
2. You can add elements such as a chain or other accessories to complete the look.
