I love some high boots! Especially when the pants tuck in. And Studio makes it easy to make some simple knee high boots. First start with the “high lifted shoes”

Under “Silhouette,” the middle bottom option gives the highest boots:

Though I like to go into the “points” and drag them even higher and wider:

If you want to make the boots look a bit loose and scrunchy, Studio has a great default shadow option! Under the tee shirt icon and “Shadows,” select the bottom option for both the right and left shoe:

I love these default shadows. But we can add to them and make them stand out more by adding points and dragging them to move the outline in where the shadow hits, which gives the look of bends in the fabric:

We can also make the shadows deeper by using the brush. Go into “Right Upper” on the right, select “Shadow,” and then go to the pencil icon on the left and select “Brush.” Pick the darkest looking shadow in a small brush shape and use it to emphasize the existing shadows:

You can also increase the “Shadow Opacity” in the above screenshot to make the shadows stand out more.
For shoes, we have to remember to repeat steps on the back (left) shoe. So go into the “Left Upper,” select the same shadow, and paint some additional shadows using the brush:

Once you feel good about your shadows, you can change to any color you’d like. Click on “Select All” on the right, go into “Fabric,” and choose the color!

You can also go into the fabric icon on the right and select different fabric textures like cotton, wool, or suede. But afterwards you may want to go back into “shadows” and adjust the Opacity so that the shadow work you did earlier still stands out.

One final note, make sure to select “Wide Shaft Shoes” when sending the boots to Pocket Styler. This will ensure that pants tuck into the boots!
