✨ How to Add a Brim to a Hat Without Restarting the Project ✨

(a trick for working with the “Hats” tab)

In Pocket Styler Studio you can work with hats in two different ways:

Through the “Hats” tab — here you can only create simple shapes from a single layer (crown, turban, etc.);

Through the “Brimmed hat” tab — here you can build more complex hats that include both a crown and a brim.

But what if you’ve made a simple hat in the Hats tab, you really like how it looks, and now you want to add a brim?

🔹 Step 1. Use Details

Open your hat project.

Go to the Details tab and pick any shape you like.

Use it to create the brim in the way you prefer — without being limited by preset templates.

🔹 Step 2. Add the Back View

Switch to the back layer of the hat.

Add another shape (through Details) and use it to form the back view of the brim.

🔹 Step 3. Decoration

Now you can treat the brim like any other element:

add stripes, decorative details, shadows, or highlights.

✨ Result:

This way, you can “upgrade” a simple hat into a more complex one without restarting the project.

It’s especially useful when you already have a crown you love and don’t want to rebuild it from scratch.

💡 Extra tip: Brims created manually with Details give you much more freedom. You can make them uneven, asymmetrical, or add unusual curves — things that the standard “Hats with Brims” tab doesn’t allow. It’s a great way to make your design stand out!
