✨ Half-Circle Flared Skirt (Midi Length) ✨
(Beginner-Friendly Tutorial)
What is this style?
A half-circle flared skirt is something in between a straight skirt and a full circle skirt. It has a gentle flare without too much volume, drapes beautifully, and works well for both casual and romantic looks.
In this project, we’ll create a skirt below the knee — midi length.
🔹 Step 1. New Project
Open a new project with a skirt.
Switch to Point Mode and use points to shape the half-circle silhouette at the desired length (below the knee).

🔹 Step 2. Fabric & Patterns
Go to the Fabric tab and choose your material.
Add a pattern (for example, polka dots).
Adjust the pattern if necessary so it looks balanced.

🔹 Step 3. Waistband
Create the waistband right away.
In Point Mode, shape the waistband. You can set a solid color or copy the fabric from the skirt.
💡 Alternative method: add the waistband through Details → choose a shape.

🔹 Step 4. Shadows (Beginner Option)
Since this is the simplified version, let’s use built-in shadows.
Go to Decor → Folds, select suitable folds and duplicate them (up to 6).
Arrange them across the skirt to create a wave effect.

🔹 Step 5. Edge
Open the Edge tab and add a line at the bottom of the skirt.

🔹 Step 6. Distortion for Volume
Go to the Distortion tab, take a brush, and carefully paint along the skirt curves to add more depth and volume.
🔹 Step 7. Extra Effects (Optional)
For a more advanced result:
Create another brush layer with a darker color and add shading along the folds for stronger contrast.

Add a back layer for the skirt in Point Mode, give it a subtle color or shading to create depth.

✨ Done!
You now have a midi half-circle skirt with soft waves and a waistband — a perfect project for beginners in Studio.
