✨ An Easy Way to Create a Sequin Skirt ✨
Let me show you how to add a sequin effect using a pleated skirt as an example. 🧵
🔹 Step 1. Open the skirt
Launch Studio and open a pre-made pleated skirt. Go to the main fabric layer of the skirt.
🔹 Step 2. Add a new brush layer
To achieve the sequin effect, we’ll need three brush layers:
1️⃣ First layer — dark dots.
Choose a scattered-dots brush, set a small size (around 1), and go over the shadowed areas of the skirt (along the sides of the pleats, near the top). You can adjust size, density, and opacity to create a natural look.
2️⃣ Second layer — light dots.
Pick a similar brush but in a lighter shade. Apply it to the highlighted areas of the pleats.
3️⃣ Third layer — brightest accents.
Use an almost white or silver color to add a few sparkles where the light hits the strongest.
✨ The result is a skirt fully covered in sequins, shining differently depending on the light and pleats.
📌 Tip: Play around with brush size, scatter, and opacity settings so the sequins look natural instead of repeating identical dots.
