✂️ Cut & Reveal: Transparent Inserts with Holes
Want to add sheer panels, lace details, or see-through effects to your design?
Use the Holes tool in a new way — not to expose skin, but to insert transparent fabric underneath.
🔧 Step-by-step:
1. Go to the layer where you want to create an insert.
Choose a shape — oval, triangle, or custom curve — and apply it as a Hole.
2. Below this layer, add another one (e.g., duplicate the base shape or draw a matching form manually).
3. On this lower layer, select a transparent fabric (like tulle, mesh, organza, or even plastic).
Lower the opacity or use a sheer preset.
4. (Optional) Add a soft shadow or outline to the Hole to create depth and make it more realistic.
This trick works great for:
- Lace panels in dresses or skirts
- Illusion necklines and sleeves
- Transparent corset sides
- Cutout tights with mesh underlayer
Instead of showing skin — you reveal a second texture. Elegant, unexpected, and easy to do.
