Adding Shoe Backs/Heels

hello all!

When we finish a shoe shape, how it looks on a model is not how it is displayed in the store. To help your item stick out amongst all the beautiful user creations out there, making the shape of your shoe as realistic and aesthetically pleasing as possible is vital!

These heels look finished from the front, with the model view turned on.

And theoretically,  I could send it to pocket style like this and publish them and nothing would be wrong, per se.

However, the item icon looks like this:

And to me, it looks like somthing is missing.

So, I’m going to click into the right back on the layer panel, and “hide” my model, so now I’m seeing this in the studio:

Now, I am going to add a square from “details” in the right panel.

Now, I’m going to shape it into the back of the heel:

Then, I changed the color to match the opposite side:

Now, I’m going to do the same thing to the left shoe.

I matched the color, then decided it looks better with the soles a slightly darker color than the outside of the shoe, and here is what it looks like in studio now.

When I click the green play button, now the icon looks like this, and I’m much happier with how it looks as an icon.
