🧍‍♀️ The “Model” Layer: What’s Inside and Why It Matters

When you’re creating a new clothing item in Studio, don’t overlook the “Model” layer — it can make your design process much easier and more accurate.

👗 For example, when working on a skirt, the Model layer lets you toggle the visibility of:

  • Guidelines
  • Left wrist
  • Right arm
  • Body
  • Left forearm

You can turn these body parts on or off to avoid distractions while drawing.

✂️ Tip: if the hand or wrist is blocking your view, simply hide them and draw without anything getting in the way.

🧭 What are the guidelines?

These are thin helper lines that assist with symmetry and alignment. They are available for all clothing types and are especially useful for balanced or complex shapes.

🎨 You can also change the model’s skin tone to better suit your design — very helpful when working with light fabrics or soft colors.
